The makeup and skin care products I enjoyed using in my trip to Seoul

1.      Motives cosmetics perfecting face primer

I love how this velvety soft primer turns powder-like when I apply it on my skin. It never felt oily or sticky on my face when I used it for an entire week abroad. I believe this is also perfect to use in a country with humid weather because it will never bring discomfort to the user.

This product is now officially one of my favorites in the powder-foundation category.

I adore this product because it looks natural on me. It does not cake and it never made me look too dolled-up in any of my photos in Seoul.

According to its website, The Motives Cosmetics Dual Perfection Pressed Powder has a ‘creamy finish’ and ‘can be used as dry as a classic powder foundation or wet as a liquid foundation.’

“It creates a natural, renewed, even toned and flawless finish and is Paraben and fragrance free.”

Sometimes, product advertisements could really lure us into purchasing something especially if it uses big words.

But for me, this product really delivers and I’m definitely going to repurchase once I run out of it.

3.      Motives cosmetics Essential brow kit

This product combines wax and powder in a dainty package that keep the eyebrow in place as it provides the right amount of color on it.

I am not an adept user of powder eyebrow color as I have been using eyeliner pencil for ages. I was initially apprehensive in switching to this but admittedly, I have grown comfortable in using this formula. Truth be told, I do not see myself buying another eyebrow pencil for a long time. I think I’m going to stick with this for quite some time.

4.      Elf lipstick

Recently, I gave this lipstick away to someone close to me. Thing is, I was not able to note the color and variant of the lipstick before I gave it a new home. I loved this lipstick but I just couldn’t say no to the person who wanted it. It was a sort of a fuschia pink shade that I was really fond of. I also found this lipstick long-wearing. I have used it for like three months and I realized I never really took time to check the variant and the shade of the lipstick.(^-^)

5.      Human Nature Mineral Lipgloss in Island Berry

This shiny red gloss was a fitting substitute for the times when I felt lazy to retouch my lipstick. It has an enticing aroma that reminds me of the spa whenever I apply it on my lips. Sadly, though, my friend and I did not allocate budget for the spa while we were in Seoul and I was reminded of it everytime I apply this on my lips. LOL. I loved how this lip gloss actually hydrated my lips that felt battered everytime the chilly autumn breeze blew.

6.    Elf Blush in Peachy Keen

I use this to contour my face. Truth is, I forgot to bring another shade of blush - I was able to contour my face but I was not able to put blush on the apples of my cheeks. ^-^

(The picture above does not resemble the actual color of product. The one I have can actually be used for contour because of its shade)

7.      Vaseline lip Therapy

Hannah and I shared this product for five days to hydrate our lips each time we go to bed.

8.      Etude House  Vitamin C O2 white Tone up emulsion

I never realized how long this product’s name is until I typed it on my laptop! I think I don’t really have a thing for product’s names or maybe I just don’t pay too much attention to them. I used to think this product is called a Vitamin C moisturizer. Anyway, I grabbed this from my suitcase night and day and applied it on my face lavishly as I found my skin ‘unusually thirsty’ for hydration. As I’ve said, it was really cold when we were in Seoul that it sometimes felt painful on the skin. Sometimes, when I inhale the cool air, I also feel a little pain in my sinuses. I’ve been loving this product for about a year now (yes, that’s how long it has lasted on me). It brightens up my skin and lightens up the little pimple marks on my face.
