I know it’s already October but I found myself swamped with so many ideas last month that I wasn’t able to post my picks for September.

Anyway, I’d like to begin with Motives cosmetics Lip Shine in Tropical Sherbet.

I’m fond of using this lipgloss for its sweet candy scent. When I apply it on my lips, it tastes like milkshake. Its sweet candy scent blends well with its taste giving me a temporary feast of the senses. I find its staying power satisfactory – lasting for about an hour or more on my lips whether I applied it over my lipstick or I used it alone. The color that you see outside the container is the same color that you will see on your lips. This will make it easier for you to choose which color will suit you.

I am satisfied with how its formula hydrates my lips. According to the Motives cosmetics website, the Lip Shine contains antioxidants, substances that protect your cells against harmful elements like tobacco smoke and radiation. Research said free radicals can damage cells and play a role in the development of heart disease and cancer among other diseases.

NEXT is my Etude house Two Two Kiss lip tint.

Yes, I already blogged about it in August but I just have to give credit to Etude for this wonderful product which is a lipgloss and lip tint in one. I got the color Tropical Lime Red with its gloss side in yellow and the tint side in a bright natural red.

If you shun the striking red but you want natural-looking colored lips, then this may be the right variant for you. It goes on smoothly and the color is just the right hue, it imparts just the right sheer red orange on your lips. As I said, it is sheer and it will not make you look like you’re too excited about your lipcolor.It stays on my lips at an amazing average of two hours. I have gotten acquainted with its staying power in the first few days that I used it but I was delighted to see it stay even when I have already finished my cup of coffee one fine Tuesday.

I have to apologize for using my old pictures because the lip tint part of my Two Two kiss pencil is no longer an attractive sight. It has turned into a stub after sharpening it several times. This is the downside of the product. I find it hard to sharpen and when I have successfully sharpened it, I can no longer achieve the nice dome-shaped tip it had when I first opened it. Still, I will purchase a second one when I travel to Korea soon.

Sol Aragones, a well-known broadcaster at ABS-CBN shared some useful tips in applying false eyelashes.   

I told Sol how difficult it is for me to use false eyelashes. Turns out I didn’t have the patience and creativity she has when it comes to using this wonderful product. So one fine day at work while we were waiting for the conference to start, she revealed her technique in applying false eyelashes.

“Bend the false eyelashes following the natural contour of your eyelid. This will make it easier for you to stick the product near your natural lashes,” Sol said.

“Choose a good glue for your false eyelashes. I’m using colorless glue. It is easier  to apply and easier for me to remove the excess glue because there is no white color that sticks out on top of my false eyelashes. Use a good eyeliner to line your upper lid making your false lashes appear more natural.”

“False eyelashes make my eyes glow and they make my eyes ‘look alive’ especially when I’m on TV.”
